Forensic, Analytical and Chemical Sciences Technical team

About Us

The Forensic, Analytical and Chemical Sciences (FACS) Technical team primarily support the 1K suite of laboratories and the 5F simulation suite, with additional support for forensic science related activities at Glenside Campus Garage, Glenside simulation house/garden and outside spaces on Frenchay Campus.

The main focus of our support is around Forensic Science students at BSc and MSc level, though we also provide regular technical support for Policing, Environmental Science and biological/biomedical science students.

We look after a lot of specialist equipment and instrumentation within the FACS team, which means we are often closely involved with student projects, post-graduate research and external partnerships, as well as our usual day-to-day teaching lab duties.
