The Biology & Physiology Technical Team supports practical teaching session on the following subjects & modules:
Human Anatomy and Physiology, Skills for Biosciences. Human Health and Disease, Human Physiology, Biomedical Skills, Infection and Disease, Human Anatomy and Physiology. Applied Scientific Practice, Studies in the Biology of Disease, Pharmacology, Tissue and Tumour Science, Blood Science, Human Physiology. Haematology and Transfusion Science, Cellular Pathology and Oncology.

Biology & Physiology laboratory spaces
The 2KH1 laboratory is a 90 student capacity general purpose teaching laboratory which supports a wide range of biology, biomedical and encironmental science practial sessions. The 2H8/8 laboratory is a specialist laboratory space for anatomy and physiology teaching activities.


Meet the Biology & Physiology Technical Team

Sue Hula
Technical Team Leader
Room 2L20
Areas of expertise: Previous experience as a Biomedical Scientist (BMS) in virology covering cell culture, virus isolation, Immunofluorescence, Electron Microscopy, Serology, ELISAs and PCR. My technical support covers all Blood Science modules/practical sessions, microscopy, health and safety, and HTA compliance.

Areas of expertise: Experience in pharmacology, physiology, teaching, information technology, medical physics, immunology and histology.

Areas of expertise: Supporting undergraduate practicals and research in histology.

Areas of expertise: Scanning electron microscopy (SEM). My technical support covers SEM with EDX (energy dispersive X-ray microanalysis).
